Carol Ann Horne
Originally from Nova Scotia, Carol Ann completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax before continuing on to her Master of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Western Ontario in London. She has since completed a fellowship in sport physiotherapy through Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic and earned her Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy from Sport Physiotherapy Canada.
Carol Ann has completed further training in functional dry needling (IMS) from Kinetacore, earned her certificate in acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation Canadian Institute, and received her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist designation from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Working in a variety of multidisciplinary settings has influenced Carol Ann’s treatment approach. She uses a combination of manual therapy and exercise prescription to see results. Carol Ann believes knowledge is key in helping clients. She will take the time to help you understand what your body is experiencing. Her goal is to leave you confident in managing your symptoms and preventing further injury.
Outside the clinic, you can find Carol Ann volunteering at local sporting events, training in the gym, or exploring the trails and beaches on the Island.
