Acupuncture-Traditional Chinese Medicine

Acupuncture from a Registered Acupuncturist is based on the theories used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).  It is a complementary and holistic medical practice that entails stimulating certain points on the body, most often with a needle, to alleviate pain (acute and chronic) or to help treat various health conditions such as mental health (anxiety, depression, PTSD), digestive issues (IBS, bloating, indigestion), and immune system functioning amongst many others.  The acupuncturist may also use techniques such as cupping, electric stimulation of the needles, gua sha (skin combing), Tui Na (Chinese massage) and nutritional education.
